Akaelae, Abby's Agency and NeverNever have updated! AD auctions are still up!

And... new incentive for Akaelae, donate a minimum of $5 and get a cameo on Akaelae, cameo rules are basically, one or two appearances, felines, mice, rabbits, fox (all colors except white), wolves, misc other species and genoworks mixes (No native roos, rifiers or talking shivae/scythetails.) None of them out of the cyantian ordinary. I've responded to all the emails. If you donated and did NOT get an email.. email me,because sometimes paypal doesn't send me the notice and I miss it.

More Hell's Kitchen tonight! I'm looking forward to Prince Caspian this week. *Now if only we could score free tickets again. :D)

I stayed up until midnight to get these two updated on time... still fighting the burn, but Ithink the slower pace is helping for a few days.
Alien Dice and Akaelae have updated! AD auctions are still up!

And... new incentive for Akaelae, donate a minimum of $5 and get a cameo on Akaelae, cameo rules are basically, one or two appearances, felines, mice, rabbits, fox (all colors except white), wolves, misc other species and genoworks mixes (No native roos, rifiers or talking shivae/scythetails.) None of them ... weird.
I'm chasing down store orders, trying to figure out why some things haven't arrived yet. :/ At the latest, shipments will go out in the first of June. I'm not adding any productsuntil this is done.

Ugh... ok, I'm going back to cutting up full pages and updating throughout the week. I'm doing 50% more work every week than I was doing and the result is loss in ad revenue by not updating M-F and frequently falling behind. I liked showing off the full pages... but I think I'll restrict those to Wowio and print from now on. It's just too much for me to handle and actually DO anything else during the day.
Ahh.. Speed Racer did very badly, which suprises me because we were in a packed theatre and it's a very good, very entertaining movie. I'm looking forward to Prince Caspian this week. *Now if only we could score free tickets again. :D)

Alien Dice has updated! Akaelae has a picture of Tira up. Updates will return to normal next week! (At the moment, Akaelae will update M-F (Thanks to that gift two months ago, I still feel I owe on that one, plus other people helping me out on top of that who enjoy Akaelae), AD will update MWF while I work on the books). There are a handfull of auctions for original Alien Dice artwork up on furbid.Auctions end on Friday and Saturday and procedes go toward (in order) bills and convention stuff. ( The holding price is $20 on each piece.) Bid now!

I ended up seeing Speed Racer for FREE! I mentioned in a prior post that I had an opportunity to go see Iron Man again for free... turns out the free passes were good for all movies ending today. Teacher's appreciation passes sent to the school district... which my husband works for. :)

As usual... I'm swamped with work, which means I respond to email very slowly or not at all. Typically, I respond to emails that only require a sentence or two and save the rest for longer responses... then they get lost in other email. It's an endless cycle. But I do read EVERY email I get.

Abby's Agency has updated! Updates will return to normal next week! ( The holding price is $20 on each piece.) Thursday update of AD pushed back due to thunderstorms.

NOTE! If you have ordered something from the store and checked 'check' to pay for your order, PLEASE make sure you have sent the check and notify me. I'm finding that I have less funds to work with in paying for items and it comes out of my pocket until those checks come in and I'm missing quite a few checks. (And I really need that money right now.) If you HAVE sent a check and I missed marking the order, please let me know as well. Same goes for orders that have not arrived. I'm getting very annoyed at people who are NOT responding to emails concerning their orders. Coincidently... the checks add up to what I'm short on this month. :D

You know... the first thing I'm doing when I get a house, if I ever get one... is make sure it has a tornado shelter and if not.. MAKE IT HAVE ONE as my first order of business. And use it as my work area so all my work stuff will be safe. :D I'm not really a material person, but losing all that work would just be... horrible. It's kind of one of the things behind me trying to get all my books transferred to the computer. I have an autoonline backup I do every day so the data's saved. Nowadays, the first thing I grab is Kim and the dog and my tablet and jump in the bathtub. I'm a little annoyed that neither Flower Mound nor Lewisville seem to have a public tornado shelter... because I'd probably be there right now if they did. :D I wouldn't be so panicky if I didn't live in a second floor apartment and haven't already heard the sirens multiple times this year. Of course... actually having been in a couple of tornados seems to have left me very anxious the moment a tornado watch is called and the wind starts blowing hard. :P

No updates today. I have a sketch for AD to upload once I scan it.

I also wanted to take a moment to direct people over to a cute new comic, South Pole, featuring a very adorable fox ... and a penguin and polar bear, but the fox is the cutest.

I've decided to see if I can find a colorist for Akaelae at $25 a page. You'd have a week per page and be doing 2-3 pages a week, based on donations, which will be ... $25 per page. :) I'm looking for someone who can do it in photoshop or some program that exports a .tiff file at 300 dpi without changing my dimensions, which are 10 x 15. This is an immediate opening. I need to free up time. I can pay via paypal.

I am working on getting all those books done that need to be done before.

There will likely not be any incentives for May and June... simply due to the conventions and wedding which will take over three of my weekends... and since the wedding is in Tennesse.. I'm not going to have a lot of time to work. Updates will be scattered, but you can always check here to see what has updated! Next week will have two updates for Akaelae, one for AD. The following week should have two-three updates, then another two-three.

Today's To Do: Inking Shivae!, Akaelae and Abby's Agency

Completed: 3 pages akaelae pencilled so far, 1 page of Shivae! pencilled, 3 character images pencilled for Dreft, Cendi and Wei, the gryphon chicks in Shivae! Cler's arc. Finished transferring the scripts for Agape' Ai and No Angel.

Watching movies is just about the only way I relax nowadays... fortunately the price of a matinee ticket hasn't increased around here yet. Hulk, Speed Racer and Prince Caspian. I'm glad Speed Racer is rated PG, means Kim's going to get to go watch it. She has always liked crashing cars... I'm looking forward to Prince Caspian the most... but I was kinda disappointed by the first one not being as good as it should have been in the computer graphics area (Wolves... need I say more?) You know... while I've enjoyed the various incarnations of Indiana Jones, most specifically the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles over the movies... I wouldn't be interested in the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull if it wasn't for Shia Lebeouf.

'eh, toward the new Hulk movie. I enjoyed most of the last one, this one looks interesting. Edward Norton is a great choice,... but I'm not convinced of it's 'awesomeness' yet. Watching movies is just about the only way I relax nowadays... fortunately the price of a matinee ticket hasn't increased around here yet. Then there's Speed Racer and Prince Caspian. Free Comic Book Day!

No Updates today! Today is FREE comic book day! Cape! is here in Dallas and I'm packing up to go right now!

I enjoyed Iron Man last night. It IS the best of the Marvel movies. They showed a much more interesting Hulk trailer... but I'm still not that convinced. :D New Speed Racer trailer as well. I liked that one. The only thing missing was the new Batman: Dark Knight trailer, which we'd heard was going to be shown.

Found out today Kim can't really look up without her right eye going to the right. :P Which explains why she moves her whole head instead of her eyes. Not something to worry about right now, but she'll eventually need surgery to make the eye work more normally.

Thursday Updates: Donation cutoff date!

Abby's Agency and NeverNever have updated!

I'm closing out the AD donation incentive this evening. So far... there will be one update next week for AD. There will also only be one update next week for Akaelae. This is primarily due to me attending Cape on Saturday and thus.. losing a good part of my usual coloring day. (Friday, I'll be taking the evening to watch Iron Man with my husband.) The tablet will be accompanying me, but after the battery dies, I won't be able to work. ( I really need to get a car adapter. :D I intend to when I go on those two trips to Tennessee this summer.) I'm annoyed with myself for not REALIZING all this.

Today's To Do: 2 NeverNever /ink/scan, 3 Abby pencil/ink/scan/color, 1 to color today Do multiple Dice covers for the Alien Dice Wowio covers. I have four books in progress to upload after figuring out how I would do them... the original art and writing.

Apartment complex destroyed one of our balconies. :D Completely tore it down and rebuilt it. I'm grateful. I was concerned about the angle the rails were at and it worried me. They're pouring concrete right now. :D

Getting closer to Cape! and Iron Man. (THIS WEEKEND!) I'm really looking forward to it and we got reduced price tickets through the local comic book store to see it in a theatre they reserved for it. :D I'm starting to get more and more... Abby's Agency and NeverNever updated!

Bleah.. updates for Akaelae and AD will be a little delayed until morning, probably by 10AM. I ate something that disagreed with me and have been feeling icky and working slowly all evening.

Everyone ordering the Alien Dice related items from the shivae studios store will be receiving a free pen, as in the kind you write with, along with a few other items, as long as your order is over $5. I'm also looking for people to place items at anime and furry conventions, stacks of postcards and business cards showing off mysite and planting them in manga in your local bookstores. ;) I have foil Alien Dice business cards for that purpose. I even deposited a dozen of them today at the local Walmart in Fruits Basket graphic novels. :D I will be giving everyone one of the lovely foil cards whom I owe mailings to.

I have ~~TWO~~ more scriptbooks up for silent bidding. The first one ... is the PURE book, which is an 8.5 X 6 white book with ALL of the scripts, including notes and outlines... and several chapters beyond where the comic currently is. I just finished transferring the contents to my tablet, so you will get considerable sneak peakage out of this one. 21 total pages.

The SECOND book is a very nice, black... custom ordered 8.5 X 11 scriptbook for Akaelae. It was started on June 13, 2005 and is done up to the most recent comics... plus some. Sixty pages have been used, 9 pages contain EXTRA FUTURE scripts. It also contains an outline. It's a 240 page book, so maybe you can convince me to do a couple of pencil sketches in it as well.

I will accept the first three bids, then notify the winner. All you have to do is email me with what you would like to pay for the book of your choice. The highest bidder will win after I have received three bids. All books will be shipped priority with insurance.

Getting closer to Cape! and Iron Man. I'm really looking forward to it and we got reduced price tickets through the local comic book store to see it in a theatre they reserved for it. :D I'm starting to get more and more... 'eh, toward the new Hulk movie. I enjoyed most of the last one, this one looks interesting. Edward Norton is a great choice,... but I'm not convinced of it's 'awesomeness' yet. Watching movies is just about the only way I relax nowadays... fortunately the price of a matinee ticket hasn't increased around here yet.

Alien Dice and Akaelae updated yesterday. No Angel #1 is up for preorders in the store! Proof it isn't actually dead. D'oh.. I was so busy yesterday.. I FORGOT to update the livejournal. :/ I also didn't get to go see the free movie... had to work on comics or they wouldn't have updated. :D

Oooh... got my free copy of Windows Ultimate 0ffice 2007 today. :D I now have three registered versions of OneNote. 0.o Tablet came with Student, Microsoft sent me Ultimate in exchange for letting them spy on me for three months. :D (I only really use Word and Onenote... although I'm developing a love for OpenOffice and it's Writer program.)

Still running behind... *growl* It's also time for my biannual change of coloring style. :D I'm going backwards. One of the tips I picked up to do the cel shading style worked well with another method that I had been doing. ;) I'm also thinking it may be FASTER. I'm trying it out this weekend. If I get all six pages of comics colored.. I'm sticking with it. I've got three seperate shading layers at the moment. :D

So, the other day it rained and Kim had left a bunch of containers on the porch. I was using them to water my plants. Yesterday evening, after I've spent two days telling her not to play in the water, my husband tells her to pour them out. :P I wasn't pleased. Then, I hear Kimberly making all kinds of racket and talkiing about the water not being deep enough... and relize that within 30 seconds, she has stripped naked and is playing on the porch as loudly as she can in a puddle of water. *groan*

Completed: Finished the No Angel Cover! HURRAY! Packed four store orders to ship. Finished tomorrow's comics and updated them.

We got our car back yesterday! Which is great, because I realllly need to go to JoAnn's for a new waterbrush and would like to pick up some more Fanboy Canson pads. I'm really pleased with the line. It's a little juvenile. I hate the title, but the papers are good and one of the smaller pads actually came with border templates... which I used for the No Angel pages. ;) This week, they're on sale for 25% off! (I'll be updating donations at some point today and emailing people. Grr... people sending me money in mail without any notice of where it's to go, I'm assuming AD since that one counts toward updates this month. No return address either. :D) Any donations today go toward art supplies, since I'm getting low on some of them!

Completed: 2 Abby's Agency updates... I don't think I'll get to the third because it's a full page and just pushing me timewise. Pencilled the two pages left for No Angel,inked one.
I'm entertaining myself by watching nestcams of barn owls. I love barn owls. They're so incredibly ugly as chicks. I did get to see a parent deliver a mouse to them. *Yawn* Monday... I think there'sa new.. Bones or is that Tuesday? I know there's a new House.

ARRRGHHH!! I watched half of Survivor earlier. It was interupted by weather and played ad midnight. Halfway through, they put up a note: See what the Survivor's do AFTER Tribal Council. I go immediately to the site because I've always been curious and... I'm a little shocked. For one, I couldn't figure out if it was a previous episode or ... right AFTER this episode I'm watching. I'm confused, because of the one who's talking, who's currently IN the game and shouldn't be off the island. :P
I'm so mad at CBS right now. I didn't WANT a huge spoiler like that! I just confirmed it on zap2it and yahoo... *grumblegrumble* At least it had one of the greatest scenes I've seen in Survivor, starring James, who is my current favorite, even if he's not as bright as some of the others.

Those of you who saw the note earlier... I tend to panic too early and cheer too early. ;) Both of which get me into trouble. Fortunately, my husband is taking Kim to the doctor today. The adjuster was able to get in a day early so we can get the car fixed (The nice.. non gas consuming car.)

I've placed orders for all items that need to be ordered, including the books and posters. I'll order mousepads and other things at the end of the month.

Monday's Update

Ugh.. I had a severe violation of my store, which caused the site to be suspended until I deleted the offending folders this time. I'm not sure what I can do about it (Nobody's files were seen or anything like that, some spammers are abusing a hole in Oscommerce to send out phishing scams.). I upgraded it last time it happened and am not looking forward to having to redo my store if I can't upgrade it.

Update: Store updated, should fix the problem. I guess they put out another update recently. The interface is very different on my end. I'll fix the other end soon.

Akaelae has updated! AD will update on Wednesday.

And... because I'm behind in things and don't want to be bothered with an auction.. or three. Considerthis a silent, secret auction. Make me an offer. One offer. I will wait until I have three offers then take the highest and remove the listing from here. Base offer is $25, which will include priority mail shipping inside the US. ($31 outside the US.) I basically want to get them off my bookshelf as I finish entering the scripts into my laptop. I will no longer be scripting in individual books. I do keep one which will have random notes in it when I can't carry the tablet around.

I have one 8.5 X 5.5 spiral bound book with Nil on the cover which is a Sink or Swim script book. It contains more than 30 pages of scripts, plus 5 entire pages that are the start of the next arc. Yes, there IS more, I just haven't scripted enough to work with it. It also contains a rough outline of upcoming events. ;)

#2 is the Shivae! Vas scriptbook, the same size with a group image of random shivae on the front. It contains scripts from Chapter 4 up to the conversation between Vas and the gryphons in the cave about fire. It also contains the last chapter of the Cler arc.

#3 is a random scriptbook with white covers and Omakes written on the spine with the date 5-25-02, which contains most of Cesilee's Diary, including Vixen's secrets, Khaelis' bad day, Imaginary Friends (a three page extra on that one that's the start of the next chapter) and a random few pages of scripts for a comic I never did. It's a little over a third full of written on pages.

Snagging one of these, does NOTgive you the rights to them. I retain all rights. I do have more books I'll be putting up once I finish transferring them.

Alien Dice and Akaelae have updated. AD is currently set to upload once next week.. on Wednesday. There is still opportunity to get two additional updates for next week until Saturday at midnight. D'oh.. and I JUST realized that I forgot the $2 option... just 50 people doing that one would quickly add up to one update! Akaelae is due for three updates. I HOPE to get that Shivae! update done FINALLY... I'm a bit ahead of where I usually am.

Car repairs to run $500 - $800 or so. Lots of auctions to do.
